Title: Best ways of cooling HKS Intakes
Post by: gmogle on May 18, 2006, 05:39:11 PM
Hi Guys,

Have fitted my HKS Racing Suction kit in my car and am obviously noticing higher than norm temperatures so what can I do to bring this down ?

I have found there is some sponge on the left side of the radiator, can this be removed and a duct fitted to direct air up ?

There is a piece of plastic next to where the standard intercooler duct comes up, is it ok to cut this and feed it up there somehow ?

Any advice would be great.

Cheers,
Gareth

Just seemed a daft question mate with the unused facility you have fitted. You are limited with ducting options with the set up you have.

How come you have not switched it on........

im guessing you are seeing 45 deg C charge temps so you can mist 4.8 gph of 50:50 at full boost and still get full atomisation... should give you a drop to about 30 ish deg C ( this is calculation not a  guess ) :guinness The water air temp ratio relationship is not linear tho. more exponential growth with temp
