Good luck mate, looks too nice not to go back onto the road.
And if the luck doesn\'t hold, the FC vultures will be around shortly :Giggle
Ahh theres alot of Hype about engine rebuilds, i think the hardest bits getting it in and out and it looks like you have that in hand.
Just get yourself a rebuild Vid and your laffing, Can\'t go wrong.
If you want a Tip, Whilst the engine is still sort of in the car it may be worth you cracking the main pulley Bolt off (its a bit of a Pig as some people on here will tell you :)) Air guns and Big Compressors are good for this.
Yes, it is one hell of a pig - but even I got there in the end! :cool
All the best with it :)
good luck matey

Now you\'ve got the best bit!!! Clean and Inspect.
A bit of a Tip... Make sure there is no Cracks in the water seal retaining Groove in the Plates (look very carfully they can be quite small)

CRICKEY - some amazing pics there matey - you are a brave man :D
bin away for a bit as i damaged my right arm so im well stuck on the build feels like an age since i last drove the beast
excellent pic\'s mate, you ever thought about doing a rebuild manual !!!!!. Good luck with it all, looks like your having fun with it aswell
Jase
just a question for you all i have been looky enough to come across a non turbo 13b with a hurley rebuild and i paid 100 quid for the whole car and i just cut the engine out as i never needed the bits around it i aslo took the rear window so if anyone needs one i have one. anyway back to the quest what are the difference between the non turbo and turboll 13b could i use some parts as would help if i could
The compression ratio is higher in the N/A lump, also the housing are different, the 13BT housings have a tapped hole to take the knock sensor (13B has no knock sensor) also the water ways are of a different pattern in the 13BT iirc. Oh yeah, the oiling system is mechanically controlled on the 13B and electronic on the 13BT, the water pumps are different too.
I think thats covered it :)
How long before you can get back to working on it then?
any diff in rotors as you can see from the pics i need a new one so and i have no clue to how long my arm will take to heel poss about a month or two gutted
Yeh the rotors are Higher Compression and weigh more.
sorry to say this ... but its being broken as we speak :( :( :(
