Title: bad idle
Post by: carterjohn on May 14, 2006, 02:36:29 PM
my car has developed a bad idle, its fine when strarting from cold.
once its warmed the revs seem to drop like its gonna stall, idle seems very "lumpy" at this stage.my first thought is the engine is gone (one rotor at least).i hope im wrong (compression test tomoro).could it be anything else?

do you have an PFC ? if so turn off O2 feedback, had the same trouble as you and turned that off, not only did it make the car purrrrrr at tickover it actually made it run better as well.

If you have not got a PFC i would get a new O2 sensor and a set of plugs and try that.

if on one rotor the boost gge will be fluttering and idle will hunt and be hard to start when warm
