Title: Hitting 96% inj duty
Post by: NixRX7 on May 11, 2006, 07:31:35 PM
My commander is showing that i am hitting 96% inj duty, so i reckon i need to upgrade my primaries to 850\'s how hard a job is this ? will i also need to upgrade my fuel pump as well  to cope.

And can the Apexi be changed permanently to 850 primaries or will i need have it done with a datalogit etc

And finally how much to new injectors cost ? or has anyone got a set they want rid of

ta

What is your current setup? If standard, then try fitting an uprated pump, fuel pressure regulator and add extra pressure via that.

You can change the primary injectors to 850\'s with the commander. You only need the datalogit for 1600\'s.

cheers Fish,

Current setup is rebuilt engine/Blitz SMIC/HKS intake/straight thru exhaust/Apexi ecu

I also have a duel stage WI system to fit when i get the chance.

Yeah ok best go for an aftermarket/uprated pump and an FPR. Raise the fuel pressure and that should sort it out.

It sounds like you are arunning standard injector setup, either change primary\'s to 850 or secondaries to 1300\'s and get a remap to accomodate, all should be good after that  :Laugh
