The belt thing is the one thing im worried about as i have bypassed the pully for the air con pump already too

You really need to fit new pulleys as well, if you stick with the standard pulleys you have a reduced contact area on the water pump, the pulley kit provides a bigger water pump pulley which is a very good idea.

Most of the tuners will do them, WGT dragon reworx Rx motors Rotary art...

I got mine from Pip at WGt with the correct sized belt for aircon and airpump removal...

Will you still pass an MOT with this removed. Not liking the sound of needing it for emissions? Though I guess it gets rid of the moo :)

Got cat removed anyway, plus mines a 94 so emmissions test is ok without it

My car passes an mot fine. If you have decatted the car then the airpump is useless. If you havent, its not a good idea to remove it!

Not completely useless, as it still delivers air to the exhaust ports. The air pump makes a very good idler pulley for the water pump though... bugger all drag when the air pump is freewheeling. Unless it\'s going on a race track, I\'d keep it. Not as heavy as the passenger seat... enie meanie minie mo

I stand corrected!  :)

As Chris has said we supply a short belt to remove the air pump, prior to this it seemed that the only way to achieve this was to spend £150+ on an underdrive pulley kit.

The other reason we supply this belt is not just cost it is also because I personally don\'t really like the idea that the underdrive kit slows down the water pump at low revs which is fine on a race car when your trying to slow the pump at constant high revs for fear of cavitation which means the pump effectively stops pumping but on a hot FD road car sitting in traffic on a hot day you need all the water circulation you can get, not less!

That\'s my two penith, I\'ll get me coat and let you decide  :Giggle
