right, where do you pic up 4 port 13b NAs these days? All i can find is 6 nports which are really untunable wen rebuilding. I wanna bridge port minimum on the engine i put togethger....

Old Skool 13b 4-port are pretty rare in this country, there were only a handful of RX-4\'s that came with them. No REPU, RX-5\'s or RX-7 GLSSE\'s :(

Whats up with the 6 ports ? Racing Beat reckons you can\'t port them but plenty of the guys over in the US do all sort to them. (I think you\'ve already have a look at no pistons)
I think the biggest fault of the 6 port is the tiny ports in the centre housing, you could swap in a TII centre plate and port that as well. Then bridge the 5th and 6 ports ::Giggle
6 ports can go real big but sometime people confuse them with the 6 ports that have the water jacket surrounding them- those ones can\'t be ported much.
I don\'t see why you have to use an old skool 13B either - as Ray said get a turbo engine, port it, and rebuild it with high comp rotors ala RX-8 - that\'s what everyone is doing in NZ these days as the old engines have pretty much dried up.
i thought a 6 port EGI was a 6 port egi?

I heard you get turbo II ends and rotor housings as the exhaust ports dont have the little bits in them.....
then port to your hearts content!

In my experience there are loads of different types of factory ports, so no, all centre ports are not the same. Oh and I reckon a big bridge, maybe cut into the water seal(isnt that a J-port?) or a carefull PP. There are different types of Peripheral ports. As in size and placing in the housing. KNowing someone who \'knows\' their N/A posts is worth their weight in gold. There are loads of uk tuners doing heaps of amazing work with porting along with turbos but no-one really talks much about just n/a porting except for Carl Hayward. But I guess you should just spen a morning on the phone talking to those that advertise on here and maybe a few others!?
