Hi guys and gals, firstly just wanna say nice site

At the moment i dont own a rx7 but im looking to buy a new car and i have 3 on my wish list...

RX-7
GT4
and GTO

ive been told many bad points about the rx7 but i still think its a beautiful car witch is also quite a rarety to see on the road..

ive looked breifly at these cars and also gone to a jap importers to look at one, which didnt start and didnt like the look of the place so didnt buy :P

was reading on google that i will need a engine rebuild every 60k is this true and is it a full rebuild every time?? whats the model to go for? effine type r i want the twin turbo? but dont know enough about the cars to know what to look for every one ive asked has told me to steer clear of the rx7 as its the most expencive out the 3 to mantain, again please confirm?

so heres my question, what have you guys found that\'s good and bad about the car what should i expect to go wrong and whats the prices like on performance parts?
look forward to your responces

Firstly when buying an RX7 go for one with a recent engine rebuild but also best to get compression test done if figures aren\'t already available. Either that or buy one with a knackered engine and have it rebuilt for about £3000. Once you\'ve got a decent car just observe a few simple rules and you should be OK (ie proper warm up before use and cool down after use) keep coolant topped up  regularly check oil levels and replace oil ever 3K miles. Should last you for many years of pleasurable motoring then. Most on this forum will tell you to go for the Rex over the others but then we may be biased! Seriously though, if you can get a good one you won\'t regret the decision..

Hi

Ask your self this question?

Which car will be the show stopper? Which car will be much, much faster?  Which car will handle better? Which car will stop quicker? Which car will sound better?

Which car will be the “babe magnet”?

ALWAYS THE RX7…

On a serious note â€" look at the performance of RX7s, ask the members to post their photos, ask about the mods…

Go to the for sale section, and that is where you should be looking at a car to buy…
You will probably get ea very good car from a member of this club with all the history…

Realisticly, if you can afford the Running costs The Rx7 is in a diffrent leauge.

They just need to be treated with respect. Have a look at some of the posts in the Tips section.
