Post by: Brainfire on May 07, 2006, 09:19:25 AM
I\'ve just read a couple of old posts where people refer to \'folding the mirrors in.\' Is it possible to do this with the standard FD mirrors? I just can\'t see how it\'s done, and don\'t want to break the bloody things by forcing them as I\'ve already had one replaced due to some vandalistic little b\'stard...

Try spraying some WD40 in the gap between the base plate and the mirror housing, give it a couple of minutes then try. They can be brittle though I broke one of mine trying to get it off recently, but I was being quite rough with it.
