Hi all,
This is sort of directed to Bobfish only because I know he bought some of these for doing his lights recently, but what I want to know is where can I get some replacement springs for my sleek headlights?
Each light has four springs in the corners with an adjusting screw running through them, and i\'m missing a few. I\'ve had a look on the web but its really confusing as to what type i need or how strong they should be and nobody seems to stock the exact size as the ones I have.
The springs I have are approx: 11.5mm O/D, 55mm open length, 20mm compressed length, 1-1.5mm wire gauge, approx 15 coils and the ends are closed and ground flat.
Does anyone know where I can get some? I only really need 2! (maybe 3 for a spare)
ta in advance
something off a r/c car might be enough
may help

Sorry Dan, didnt see this thread. GerryM knows the dance. I used springs off a nitro RC savage truck.
panic over, my work neighbour in salisbury has amazed me once more by producing 3 boxes of assorted springs for me to pick from!
Is there anything that man doesnt have?
thanks everyone, didnt think of looking on RS, duh.
a flux capacitor?
not to my knowledge but he has a contraption under a dustsheet that looks like a cross between a hovercraft and a double bed, has J.Verne etched into the woodwork....
;)
Dan, you\'ve just reminded me.. I\'ve got a battery box if you want it?
ooh could well be interested rob, but will my battery be the right size for it?
i\'ll get some dimensions for it.
How did a time machine remind you of the battery box?

It was the RC car reference.. there\'s bits of my RC car in it, in my boot :) (my time machine doesn\'t fit)
It\'s a box for full size batteries, dodgy pics here (http://www.zen44871.zen.co.uk/Pictures/Battery%20Relocation/)..
well mine will certainly fit in there! how is it secured to the floor? was going to strap it down for the time being.
How much are you after for it rob?
My time machine is a non-physical entity that transports your mind and not your body. Easy to carry around though. :)

it\'s FOC. Best way of securing it is to drill through the boot floor (avoiding the fuel pipes on the left hand side) and use 6mm studding (£2 from B&Q) to hold the whole thing down (as in the last dodgy pic). I\'ve still got the metal bar that goes across the top
FOC? my favourite price! hope grinder doesn\'t read this, he\'ll kick himself for missing out on a freebie! lol
Cool I\'ll be over tonight then rob, cheers! :)
