290 miles since I filled up and I\'ve still got 1/4 tank left :Laugh
And no, I haven\'t stuck it on a trailer and towed it about. Mind ewe, the shock from filling up (105.9/l for the BP stuff) may have prompted me to be a tad more careful with the right foot.
Funnily enough I\'m in the same situation - I want to work out my mpg as I have some big trips this summer and want to get an idea of the budget needed. Only difference is my tank has 1/4 left and I have only covered 192 miles.... :eek
Is yours mainly motorway driving? Mine is about 80% town 20% motorway.
HOW !!!!!!!!!!
HOW HOW HOW HOW HOW HOW HOW HOW HOW HOW
is its reading KMS ???
i get about 150miles from £40

Same here - I\'m taking it to France the next bank holiday weekend. The Other Half doesn\'t know that yet, she thinks we\'re taking my old VW Jetta :D

That was pretty much all motorway - Didcot to Coalville back to Ashford. I was positively surprised as I\'m normally running on fumes at approx 250 miles.
Maybe you filled up on a cold day ! :Laugh
Other ways to boost economy
1) Drive downhill all the time
2) Drive behind something big and slipstream them
3) Drive with the wind behind you
4) Switch off air con and turn the radio down
5) Drive at night only on sidelights
Serious hat on now, I do get about 25Mpg when I drive carefully in the winter, and somewhere like 15Mpg when it\'s summer time. That BP stuff is expensive - Optimax is about £1.01 around here.
im getting about 15.83 MPG - not sure if thats good or not
im sure my MPG took a dive when i de-catted the car ??
Stu
105.9!!! B100dy hell, if the petrol reaches that price here i\'m going to...... pay it I suppose but I will whinge a lot
Its all about driving style,
Stu your MPG is crap because you use the car occasionally and just for fun blasts, if you are going long distances at a constant speed and off of boost you will note the MPG goes up.
Another scary way to increase your MPG is to actually drive within the speed limit. (Or so I\'m told :D )

Well, I was running on fumes at that point and basically had to fill up at a motorway service station (the BP at the M4/A34 junction for those who know the area). Tescos around here is still selling their 99 octane stuff for 99.9 but I didn\'t have much of a choice...
Dont feel the despair boys,Changed carbs the other day and was getting 30 miles on 10 litres !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yes :2eek :Typing ,
drving to brans hatch then going round in curcles for a bit then driving home i was doing 11 mpg :2Rolleyes
Short journeys just kill the number. You get more MPG by going out for 70 mile on and off blasts than driving off boost to and from work! :cool
yeh these rotors are proper THIRSTY when you drive them like an idiot, but if you drive very steady and dont stop then the fuel economy isnt that bad!
but bladdy ell Tim getting that many miles out of a tank is very good going!
my best to date was 128 miles on a full tank (65l) which works out at 8.95mpg!
I average about 200 per tank in town (13.99mpg) and 265 out on the m/way & A roads (18.53mpg)
however the puma does: 210 in town on a 40l tank (23.87) & 300 m/way & a road (34.1) - it is nice to have a cheaper option! lol
that why i run a deisel rover
over the last 10K miles its averages 44MPG - so that makes up for the rex doing 15-18 MPG
i used to run a petrol rover that did about 33 MPG ... so i just imagine that the diesel does about 33MPG and the rex goes 26 MPG :D :D :D
I did 350 miles last sunday on 1 tank of petrol.I was happy with that considering I was travelling with about 20 other jap performance cars and we were not taking it easy... :god

Some ones been Watching top gear...... LOL
I filled up this morning so I was able to calculate my MPG - it\'s 17.7!!!!!
Pretty much in line with the rest of you guys, but then again I have to do a 1200miles round trip in a few weeks. Still, it\'s mostly motorway so I should be able to report back on the mpg you get from a T2 when you drain a complete tank on the motorway - a new mpg world record attempt perhaps?? Well one for the MRC anyway...
