Hello guobin, and welcome to Mrc. Good to see another local on here, fro is correct Geff is the closest to us just down at Hillsea area. Failing that you have Tim down at Rx motors not really close but a nice drive in the country. Both are good places for the Rx7 and will be in expert hands. Got any details on your car guobin colour, type year etc.  If you need any help locally there is a quiet a few Rx owners in this area know. Also what area of Soton are you in, we maybe closer than you think :D . Hth mate........cheers Leigh.

Swaythling not far from myself about 5 mins down the M27, I\'m in Bursledon area not far from the Tesco in Hamble Lane. If you need any help or just some info I would be glad to try and advice. My neighbour has also got a yellow third gen (Nathan) so you are in good company. Trouble is poor old Nathan has blown his engine so it\'s being fixed again, shame it\'s not around tis a great looking example to look at, second after mine though :rollin . Lt me know if you need anything mate and I can point you in the right direction. Cheers Leigh.

Looks good guobin, was that a private buy or trader?. That\'s a long way to go too get a car must of been worth the mileage. Has it got any service history at all eg engine rebuild or other work done. Looking at the engine bay everything looks standard, the thing that you have ringed is the air separation tank. Alot of people change these to a metal version because the plastic one\'s tend to split under pressure etc. Keep the questions coming mate there\'s always someone on here with good advice. If you get really stuck then you can give me a call on 02380 402741, I will be in most of today and with any luck I will find sometime to work on my car today.....cheers Leigh.

yes!! you are right! my plastic one\'s tend to split under pressure! where can I get a metal version one?
The car was a private sale. the mileages on the clock is 48k km but has got no service histroy :(  . she was imported from jap last Oct.
I think the car may need the engine rebuilt soon cos I don\'t feel the engine\'s running very happy. :evillaugh
So I want to find a RX-7 Specialists to give the car a good check at the first.
cheers

Very helpful and reasonable. Check out their website. Iam between RX,s at the moment, iam looking to import a spirit r, as soon as the model report is sorted, and fingers crossed by all accounts various people are very close to success.  Look forward to seeing your car about, hope you enjoy it.   Liegh nice to hear from you again.

Leigh, whats happening to the Rex, big plans I guess??? Never mind the S2K won\'t be too outer place and my Girlfriend Jade will probaly take a shine to it! Think she\'s missing her little Honda since it meet a central resevation(sp) after a blow out :2eek

Will depend alot on why it needs rebuilding, as some parts can be reused to save on cost, but if its blown then obviously less can be reuesd, if you see what I mean...Best off to give them a call or pop in if your that close, they are all friendly and very helpful with advise and the like!

Also welcome to the fold! Will we see you at the meet in Soton?? Check the meets section for details!

Might be able to make that meet :) Current car is only a 1.3 turbo so you\'d all have to slow down for me to catch up :P

I took a look at reworx website and it says £2500 upwards. I\'m only researching before I buy to see what I can and cannot afford at the moment.

We is all in a 1.3turbo bud :Giggle

A great way to research is to meet some owners and see the cars up close...We will let you know the good times and the bad times of Rex ownership(between us we will have all been throught it before at somepoint) and straight from the horse\'s mouth!

Hello Ian, see you are still lurking around the forum. I have just got back from Broadlands now and seen your post. I did not go in the Rex as it is in the back garden for at least another year, while I do all the little jobs that I never seemed to have time for when it was on the road.

The show was a lot queiter this year and there was not many cars on MRC stand but I think there  is alot more cars going on the Sunday. Hurt like hell having to pay to get in. Also seemed different this year without yourself, Ash and Richard not there. Hope you are doing ok and maybe we may see you in another Rex in years to come.........cheers Leigh.

P.S Hello Ash see you are still looking around the forum, hope all is ok with yourself as well.

Watcha bud!

Nah, not a chance of seeing me in an FD again, except maybe as a passenger. Start building the Rush in November, hope to have it ready by June or so next year, we\'ll see! Wanna go racing!!!

Much in the way of trade stands there? Thought I might go and have a mosey round and see if there were any parts lurking that I could use! Having said that most of the car is new, and most of the bolts will be either titanium or alloy and most of the panels will be in carbon! :D

So how ya doin? Well I trust? And what the hell are you doing to the car that its off the road for so long?
