Title: Turbo II Front splitter, no Mazda Part number???
Post by: antnicuk on April 28, 2006, 04:21:31 PM
In my never ending search for a Turbo II front splitter I asked the guys at Reworx to make enquiries with Mazda and they cant find it on their Parts listing.

I popped into my local Mazda dealership this afternoon with my log book to see if that would help.  They couldnt find it on their computer either.  He said that it might be classed as an accessory in which case it wouldnt be on the Parts Listing.

Did anyone buy a TII new and know if this is the case???   I thought they all had one.

There seem to be a lot of people who mention breaking their TII\'s but nothing ever seems to come of it..........

I still need one if anybody has one............  :3Confused

have you tried tsh? he is breaking a uk T11 Vert. failing that if any one has one laying around, knowing Mazda they prob. stamped the part number on it,

everthing i\'v taken off seems to be stamped. i can\'t see why Mazda can\'t find it as it\'s a standard part

[think you must have had one of those "can\'t find it without a full vin. number" sort of helpfull parts person].

if you get very stuck i will crawl under mine and have a look[all 20 stone of me]

I\'ve just been out to the garage to have a look at mine (as it\'s off the car at the mo) and the only markings on it are 29-42 which is probably useless!  :2Rolleyes

I took my log book with me so i had all the details,  the egi\'s and the verts didnt have them.  I will print the above us parts list and take them that, see if that helps.

are you on the look out for the stock splitter G@ndy ????

to be honest - they are very very very very rare - you would prob be best just getting a after market one

i bought a S14 one - hoping that i could mod it - it was only £10 but never got around to it and the cab has one anyways

the S14 one needs shorteding about 2-3 inches and a flat bit making for the top of it

the S5 bumper is shaped and the S14 one isnt - although the S13 one might be - its just finding one

the S14 is very very very similar though - depends on how handy you are with fibreglass :D

Tony are you talking about the soft plastic splitter, like the fd has, but obviously to fit a FC?
From what I can find out there are 2 types.

I looked at the parts list and it seems as though the splitter comes in three parts for the front section only. See drawing attached.

Part #\'s
Skirt Right FC01-51-9K1A
Skirt Left  FC01-51-9L1A
Dam ( C ) Air Skirt FC01-51-9J1A

Mazda price approx. £38.00 each inc. VAT if you can still  get them.

Good luck

Ken

Does this mean that you might be able to get one Gary:yes :Ladys-man
I think that the egi had a small rubber one and the turbo 2 had one similar to the FD, thats the one im after.
