Title: Fitting a HKS TT Type-0
Post by: Steve Burnett on October 19, 2003, 11:10:46 PM
Does anyone have a turbo timer fitted to their car, a HKS type-0?
Just wondering if anyone could tell me how easy it is to install?
Going to call up and get the harness for fitting it.

Thanks for any help given

Dead easy if you have the harness.  Just find the main ignition harness next to the steering coloumn, and just plug in the HKS harness.  Then you need to run a wire to the handbrake.  Thats it on the type o.  On the type 1 you have to tap into the speed and rpm wires at the ecu.  If you have any probs let me know.

I have the Type 1 and only a japanese Manual !!

I can\'t see the wires to place in the ECU ??

Gray is Handbrake,
Black is Ground

and i think the brown is RPM und the blue is Speed..

But where are the connector places on the ECU ??

Andybody knows ??

1 year on from my original post and my TT is just getting fitted now. (Lets not rush things eh!!!)

Best thing to do is go onto hks.co.uk or .com and download the fitting instructions. Also get a HKS wiring harness for the RX7 but ensure you buy the correct one ie JDM or UK.
Then get someone else to fit it. ;)
