Title: DOBBA\'s Freshly Painted Amemiya FD
Post by: D2BBA on April 19, 2006, 06:07:44 PM
Had this posted in the members section for a couple of days, but thought i\'d open up the post as i\'m stuck for ieas as for what to do next!

Apart from cleaning bits up i\'m unsure what to do.  Next plans are a brake upgrade (probs Project Mu), Power FC and full thro exhaust, but what about styling???

Thanks for that matey!

Paint wasn\'t cheap as it was House of Kolor Kandy.  With the smoohting in, painting and the custom work you would normally expect to pay £4K ish.  I put quite a few late nights in on the car (and a few of my mates also helped along the way), bringing the total cost down to £2.5K.

Not the cheapest, but when the sun hits.... :InLove

Hi bud,

Yep plate arrived OK, so thanks for that!

The paint cost included 3 weeks of solid work sorting the bodywork out too.  The whole kit had to be re-hung, the car fully smoothed (with [particular care to the FRP front end), custom work and prepping.  I saved a bit on the HOK paint too.  Paint costs alone would have been £1800 (thats just buying the paint BTW!).  HOK certianly aint cheap!

Wow, that\'s one stunningly smooth rex..

I\'m not normally a fan of the Porsche style RE-A front ends, but that looks amazing   :god

Styling wise, possible rear GT wing addition and possibly some form of graphics maybe ???

Not a massive fan of graphics but the right ones make a big difference ?

Looks-wise I\'d leave it as is, it\'s absolutely perfect.  Rear end sans spoiler is smooth!

Some top work there mate. Love the colour, very unusual for a FD. Must say im not overly keen on that front end, but seeing it up close may change my mind. Each to the own right :)
