Title: fuel tank capacity
Post by: andyrose on April 19, 2006, 05:05:19 PM
I\'m sure its been asked before...............

just wondering how much you can squeeze (money wise) into the FD petrol tank. i\'ve seen a few people quote \'about 50 quid\'

i\'ve noticed i can get nearly £40 in and it only registers half full (and no the gauge isn\'t faulty). i have squeezed over £70 at one time or another. so my question is could my car have a larger tank (i think mazda did a version with a larger one but can\'t remember which)

I do know for sure that my car was a track junkie when in japland as it came over with a really nice carbon interior mirror thats about a foot wide!
Cheers

The standard fuel tank is 76 litres matey. So if you run really low, and put the good stuff in, £70 would be about right :)

to be honest my gauge is reading 1/4 of a tank out any way, so it is hard to know how much i have in her at the best of times.
