Have emailed the seller for more info as I am interested as my engine has 75 thou and no history so it would make a good investment. Just trying to find the reg of car it came from so I can speak to Jimmy\'s.

If anyone else is interested in this I thought I would let you know of my experience. I may well have been over cautious when I asked a few questions, but as the engine is on a pallet I thought it better to ask than spend time and money and then find out. I asked if it had been compression tested, even though it was stated that it was rebuilt 19000 miles ago, the reg of the car so I could talk to someone at Jimmy\'s and a phone number.
The responses were "no need" , " strange I should suggest selling it to Jimmy\'s " and this evening when I asked if he still had the receipt being told to "go away and get an engine elsewhere and to stop taking the p**s."
I would have happily paid considerably more than his original buy it now price which was rather low, and is now no longer available. I think I will take his advice, shame as he has a few other interesting parts.
Strange attitude to adopt when you\'re trying to sell something....:xconfused I think you\'re right to steer well clear.
sorry about that look like a good deal, like you say it could well of been sometimes people are strange creatures!
No problem, it just seemed to be such a great deal and if things had panned out i would have been laughing all the way home, even at 2 or three times the price.
