Title: Insuring Second Car
Post by: AshRX on April 16, 2006, 11:30:59 AM
Just got hold of another car as my daily drive, as the Mrs wants her car back. Im only gonna be using the FD maybe once a week. Do I have to take a seperate policy out or can you add a second car to your policy.

Sorry if i sound stupid but never had to insure 2 cars before at the same time.

Cheers  :cheers

I just did the same thing.  My current company wouldn\'t give me a dual vehicle policy, most insureres won\'t. So I have had to take out a second policy on the second car, but my current insurers have been good and gave me a sizeable discount.  Problem is you can\'t use your no claims discount on more than one policy !!

If you can get it on a classic policy they don\'t take the ncb into account. Im with "more than" on the run around and houghton on the rex, two completely seperate policies !
