Hi there,

Finally got all the bose system sorted out and connected with the new head unit, the when i fired her up the front left speaker is squeeling really really badly......first impression was blown speaker, so I took it out and tested it alone(without amp attached) and sound was fine....

This leads me to believe the little amp in the box in the door is faulty

Anyone ever have similar problems or has anyone got a functioning one of these amps lying about that I could have??? Sound is driving me nuts so just had to disconnect speaker for now. Want to remain origonal instead of buying new speakers/amps and butchering the poor car!!!

Hi mate, yea i had similar problems but im using the standard bose wiring with different amp, i have a couple of them stupid bose cross over / amp style things whihc im sure i won\'t need. Are you going to rotorstock? if so i\'ll give you them there... let me know matey

ahh regarding the squeealing noise, i think i have somehow either used the wrong wires, or somehow the wires have been cut and are earthing on the bodywork somewhere, i\'ll check it out this weekend to see where the problem lies, its somewhere between the door and te car chassis, between the door grommet style thing.. :Talking1

wont be at rotorstock sadly this year due to other commitments but i\'m happy to send some cash in a way of postage costs if this is at all suitable??

Ahh also regarding the squealing noise, i foudn mine was as i used a wire that was somehow earthed. might wanna check all ya cables are ok and not earthing out on anything, that will give you nasty feed back.
