Title: End float question
Post by: dandan on April 10, 2006, 11:13:48 PM
Hi all,
This question is directed at all you engine builders out there:
I checked the movement on the end float on my engine the other day and tonight I finally got round to checking what the tolerances are supposed to be by watching the DIY-RE dvd again.
The dvd says movement should be between .03 and .07mm but when I checked mine it is .1mm, the engine has run a few thousand miles since the last rebuild so is this acceptable?
.03 over sounds like very little, and engine was running fine before but I don\'t want to take too many undue risks if I can help it, then again I don\'t really want to have to strip the engine down just to adjust .03mm.

What do people think?

As long as you got some minute movement,it is cool.........to much and the motor is sloppy, which you dont want.Dont fret yourself over the last bit........................ :cool
