Title: TV help
Post by: banned advertiser on April 10, 2006, 12:08:40 PM
Are there any guys on here that can help or make this there living.
looked at a plasma screen, Pioneer PDP-436XDE-T2A or a PDP-436SXE 43 inch.
Can I get a recommendation to a LCD of this size as I believe LCD will be better than plasma and would like to know about a system to be made so music and dvd can be palyed through it, possible just using an Ipod. Do not want sky.

I\'m no expert, but I bought a smaller LCD last year which is great, but I would only buy a High Definition capable TV now.

The plasmas are HD ready, are LCD available HD ready.
Dont want to sort a plasma and then find out should have gone LCD route.

Plasma all the way IMO, the LCDs just dont give the right blend of colours for me. The Pioneer has to be about the best on the market, the only plasma that challenges it would be the Panasonic Viera (But I would say that being a Panny owner myself :D ) which can also be had at a more reasonable price too, both these sets are HD Ready.

When looking for a TV make sure it is HD Ready and not HD Compatible, theyre 2 different things, the HD Compatible has an HDMI socket but the screen resolution just isnt good enough for HDTV.
