Title: Run in and remapped.
Post by: pete sparrow on April 09, 2006, 09:07:39 PM
Hi
Took my car down to Ross at Dragon on friday for her first service and road remap after the rebuild. Ross also fitted two polished pulley wheels from Billet Bitz for a bit of extra bling.
I fitted a B&M shifter on thursday night which has really improved the shift and shortened the throw.
Ross has put the boost at 0.8 bar and OMG is she FAST!!!!!!! Sh@t myself the first time i floored it,the accelaration is incredible!!Really impressed with the lack of lag from the Greddy T78,what a brilliant turbo. My grin got wider and wider on the way home,so so happy with her now!! No bhp figures yet,but will know them after the day at Thor.
Cheers
Pete

T78 is a decent turbo for sure, just watch the out for the wheel spin when you least expect it, dont let it catch you out as loads of great work gone into your car Pete  :Thumbs-up

Thats great news, glad the car is doing the job for you!
Even better news is that I have that turbo too and I wasn\'t sure if it was going to be that great, I thought it might be really laggy cos of the size, nice to hear you are so happy with it, I just need to get mine running now!
:)

Hi Gurj.
Wise words,i\'ll be careful.Only had the guts to floor it in a straight line, might have plucked up the courage nearer the end of the season  :rollin

The thing to remember Pete is when it kicks in its a massive boot up the a$$ so if you are overtaking on a normal road be careful, just a hint of dampness and there goes the back end, has happened a few times to me but managed to control it  :o  but you just never know when it\'ll bite you.

Otherwise wait for a nice dry day and give it a blast at full boost so you know what you got  :D

Canna wait to see the engine at Thor, looks brill in the pics  :yes

Hi Gurj
More wise words. She scares me at the moment, which i need and like! Won\'t be taking any chances, the last thing i want to do is total my baby!!!
Your so right about the thrust factor, almost crashed into the back of an M3 whilst overtaking the sluggish git!! Now giving myself plenty of room. Will polish her up for THOR, no worries. Have we got a magazine interested yet??
Cheers
Pete
