Title: mud or something on my lights
Post by: vxer on April 02, 2006, 10:39:26 PM
Hi guys,

Just driving my new rx7 back to its new home on the motorway in the pouring rain. After a while i noticed some black spots of dirt or something accumulating in the centres of the back part of each light - seen through the windscreen.

Is this just crap from the road going via the wheels up through the bonnet onto my lights or something more sinister?

Cheers, Paul.

Hmmm, weird. Has your car still got the plastic wheel arch liners in place? Only way I can think sh*te would be gettin from your wheels onto the headlight covers.

Hi Paul
If your talking about the pop up lights, you do get dirt from rain water collect at the back/ bottom if up light cover.

I had a look in the daylight today and i can\'t see any mud anywhere under the bonnet. However, its not oil either that i can see anywhere it shouldn\'t be.

Yeah, sorry i should have said pop up lights! It looks like that must be the answer through elimination! How odd that it pools there in the centre back and not all over the light...  :Hammer

Cheers, Paul.
