Title: What temp for warning on water temp gauge?
Post by: probedb on April 01, 2006, 09:52:32 PM
Anyone any thoughts on what temp I should set the warning buzzer on my Defi gauge?

It\'s preset to 100oC which is too low.

Cheers!

Paul.

I personnally would say about 105. In normal driving conditions you shouldn\'t see temps that high (The fans should have come on by then). The coolant will boil at 129 degrees if thats any help!

I\'ve not messed with the fans so they might be set to standard. I\'ve moved it to 105 and it seems to sit around 85 for most of the time.

85 is good. That\'s what it\'s meant to be. Obviously, bimbling around town for longer periods will mean those temps rise, but as long as they come back down again (When the fans come on at about 100) then you\'ll have nothing to worry about.
