Title: Recommended Harnesses
Post by: GerbilStuntFarm on March 31, 2006, 09:20:54 PM
Now then, just wondering if anyone had any 6pt harnesses for an FD they recommend. Was looking at 300quid maximum. Currently looking at luke-racing 675s.

Also has anyone got any pics of harnesses fitted (behind the seat).

Cheers peeps,
Jode

I\'ve got 5 point Simpson Harnesses in my car which are good and they are SFI 16.1 Certified pretty important if you are actually drag racing at any MSA Sanctioned events.

Heck now got an even wider choice than i had previously :)    I\'ll go through them all tomorrow.

Gary, sure would look to see some pics once you have them in, wont be buying in the next two weeks so that\'s not a problem but will have to soon as ive no belts at all and car\'s neeeearly ready. Any idea what price range they\'ll be in, and colors available? Was after dark blue, or pink (just kidding).

Cheers,
Jode

Thumbs up for Sabelt also, used extensively in F1.

Worth noting it\'s VERY important to mount them correctly, something I need to get sorted in mine.

eh up Freddy, presumably they\'re 4 point only? Maybe i just can\'t visualise how they fasten up properly but how does a 4 pt harness stop you from sliding downwards?  I\'ll go make a list of prices for all the above\'s then wait and see what Gary has to offer anyway, would prefer the cash to go back into the vendors tbh.  Cheers peeps..

4 points are old hat and slowly wont pass most race regs or rules. You will need 6 point to stop you slidding out of your seat.
As soon as Ive got it sorted I\'ll PM you.
