Title: Gone to Reworks!!!!!!!!!
Post by: Tyson007 on March 29, 2006, 09:01:24 PM
Hiya

It was time!!! Our baby the RX7 was to be shipped off to Reworks in Portsmouth to have the engine rebuild and much needed manual gear conversion

After about an hour of messing around we finally got the car onto the truck, with added assistance of blanks of wood.....

Of course I had to follow the car on it\'s maiden voyage to Portsmouth, which took hours. After to lengthy calls I really wanted to put a face to the voice and I have to say I was impressed and everyone at Reworks them were really friendly and knew what they were talking about.

Then I had to say goodbye  :wave  :wave  :wave

It will be a transformed car in a couple of weeks - Can\'t wait  :3gears-lh

Nice one Kirk, all your car needed was a manual box. Shame you\'re gonna miss the London Run this Sunday, hope to see you guys at the next one.

Yeah I met Mr Quane - what a lovely chap. He got it there safely without any probs.

They have already started working in taking the gear box out, but it won\'t be ready for the London Run - We will be there next time!

It\'s a fair drive Andy - but a worthwhile one. Had my map done there.

Luckily, family are in Worthing, so have a stop over close :)

It is costing around £1500 for the full conversion apart from the gear knob (which is a personal touch anyway) :)

Hi

We bought the Feed 2 bumper from a company that advertises on ebay, they are based in Hackney. They are a great company and we bought quite a few bits from them.

As you can see we filled the hole at the front to make it a little more individual.

I saw your car down at reworx yesterday, must say it looks lovely in the flesh too, I saw it from underneath as chris was working on it and it looks very tidy down there as well.
Can\'t say enough nice things about the guys at reworx, they have bent over backwards to help me out with my current engine work so much, big thumbs up. I\'d be very confident of leaving your car with them for a couple of weeks!

Was almost a 650 mile round trip for me... But was well worth it. the boys at Re:worx did a great job.

They are really nice guys, they came to my house twice (about 1hr away) so that I could try different bumpers. Nothing was to much for them - a BIG THANK YOU :god  :god

Sorry for the late reply, we would have loved to take the MX5 but we are having engine probs with that too - \'smokey joes\'. But it seems to be hanging in on there - hopefully until the RX7 is fixed! Money Money Money :eek

Hiya,

The underneath looked cleaned - it looks like you have a nice car.

I reckon yours will be done before mine!
