Hello Guys , have been a member on here for a while now , my previous couple of cars have both been evos.
I am currently on the lookout for another evo , but am in the fortunate position to be able to buy another performance car aswell.
I have always fancied a Rx7 and now I am about to start looking for one.
I have already started looking through the tips etc for buying one on here.
My main questions are - 3rd gen - which is the best model to go for?
And does anyone know of any reputable dealers thats sell/or specialise in selling these ?
I am going to put a wanted post up for one on here to , so if anyone knows of any good ones up forsale or soon to be up forsale please let me know.
I am based in the midlands.

Many thanks
Paul.
With that type of budget you could take you pick of motors. Might be worth you going to one of the shows to see what takes your fancy and what you want stock, single turbo etc. No doubt you\'ll have the vendors beating down your door soon enough. If you want a mint rebuilt motor i think Carl still has Clives old motor (you need to like yellow though)

Welcome to the club and good luck with the search matey. I think freddy has already mentioned it on another thread, he has a few nice ones at the minute :) Newera imports loverly low mileage examples and there is always the for sale section on the club. Good luck on finding one. Funny but at the minute im thinking of swapping mine for an evo. Something like a tommy mak black VI. You will have to let us now how the 2 compare you lucky sod :p :WaveBye
Thanks Kevin.
And thanks G@ndy , yeah regards the comparison I think they will be two very different beasts , both good for fun in different ways!

If you can squeeze the wallet a little tighter, get this ;)
If not im sure Freddy can sort something out :D
I can recommend Miguel at newera having bought my RX & integra from him.

That is one very sweet motor , but talk about jumping in at the deep end lol
A bit pricey for me though.
Cheers
Paul.

Hello Pete , yeah remember seeing your car forsale on evonet and seeing you part ex\'d it for a rx7.
I have alot to learn about rx7s ,all the ones people are suggesting seem to be pretty modded, and not sure if I really need a highly modded one as my first one.
I may be better off going for a fairly standard one and learning a bit more and then doing some mods.
Not sure yet , just want to make sure I get one that isnt going to need too much spending on it for the first 6 months or so.
Paul.
Paul best idea like me virtualy standard.
1st you pick the mods you want and 2nd you are sure not overdone so the engine is at risk - many on here have been carefully done though and it makes it YOUR car
already got my 1st bits - getting rid of standard airbox and twin apexi induction kit,hks hard pipe, twin dump valves and light replacement as not keen on popups.so far no real regrets at leaving EVO world.
good hunting
Pete

i might be tempted to sell mine for that much :D
fuel consumption is ridiculous when compared to my mr2 turbo and impreza sti, although that smooth rotary engine is a joy to drive and rev. great fun
