The mot is due next week but i dont know where to take it as i have heard the emissions are high on these cars.
Does anyone know of a local as in mansfield,notts or chesterfield area garage which will be leniant with the emissions test?
It is a standart exhaust setup apart from a 5" back box, It still has the cat but i still think it will be high.
a standard car in good order with a cat shd not have a prob with emmissions what year is the car as a jap import is ok on non cat test up till 1995 below 3.5 co
mark, i strongly suggest that you take your car to an import garage in helpringham, near sleaford, called prestige vehicle imports. Both me and dave (the fella from Grantham) have had mots in the last 2 months and ours never went near the emission tester. His had no airpump (well not connected) and mine is full decat. I will try and find the number out, but if you use the search i have posted about them before :p :wave
If you have a choice try to find a MOT garage that uses the new Electronic MOT\'s - that way you can Tax your car online which is a god send :god

I have always had mine done at Larch Farm Garage at the larch farm cross roads in Ravenshead on the A60. They do all the MOT\'s for the car sales garage next door and they do imports. Never had a problem with them... Their number is 01623 490133

I just wanted to say thanx to Adam....(and yes Adam john remembered you) i took the rex to Larch Farm Garage yesterday as its only a few miles up the rd, and John MOTed it....hes a sound chap and it passed with flying colours... no leaks no nothing, said its one of the best rx7\'s hes ever seen, which bought a smile to my face.... i was worried about the emissions test but it read 000 so i know my cats working....lol
No probs mate... John is good fella and i know you wouldn\'t have any probs. Never seen you about mansfield mate, i live in Berry Hill. Not got my RX on the road yet, but you might of seen my past cars...3RX\'s in total :) 2 black ones and a red un .

oh ..lol i havent seen you then m8....ive only had the rex since oct, ive always had bikes but fancied a change and id always likesd the rx7....whats wrong with yours? whys it off the rd?
I always buy non runners, do them up on the intension of keeping them but always end up selling...lol i bought this one and my plans have changed so selling the parts i have bought for it and the car goes tonight. So i\'ll be rx7\'less for a while.... but i plan on doing one early next year, so i will be sticking around here for a bit :)
