Thank u all, i was exspecting flames.
The paint was dun with a basecoate of black all over the car then added the fine edge to make the outline of the graphics then masked the whole care sept the graphics and painted them in mazda perky matalic blue then softend the edges (if ya look close) with gunmetal gray and tipped the spikes in silver, unmasked the rest of the paint and laqured the whole lot with laquer mixed with a tiny bit of black then 2 clear coats of laquer over the top of the full car. was hard work but worth the effort imo.
I used a small gravity fed spray gun for the graphics.

Think my RX8 rims require bigger spacers on the back.

BTW anyone from here near doncaster ?

ta steve.

There\'s a few of us based in yorkshire Steve. Tesco\'s in doncaster is starting to do 99ron fuel so it may be an excuse for a ride out that way.
On another subject does your place do four wheel laser alignment?

Well what a wecome, thanQ all.
Trip to Tescos would be good as its close and i dont have to much time on my hands.
As for laser alignment no sorry m8, we mainly only sell cars.
But we do have 2 ramps so gives me access to service my car every month :)
Btw anyone know how much 99ron from tesocs is as i only get 200miles to a tank of petrol haha.
Thats £65 a week just to get to work omg O_O lolz.
Anyhow keep me posted on the Trip to Tescos.

welcome mate. i love the paintwork :wigglei got some rx8 wheels on mine too and i agree that the rears need a 10-20mm spacer. get some mazda badges on those wheels http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MAZDA-6-323-MX5-RX8-ALLOY-WHEEL-CENTRE-CAPS_W0QQitemZ4625201645QQcategoryZ52640QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Made some black blanking plates for the centres till i decide :)

Wheels are a big improvement. The graphics are subtle enough with blue against black. You\'re brave to take it on though. What if you didn\'t like the result after all that work!!!

If i dint like the results i would have painted it again, best part of being a workshop manager i guess, :) and i enjoyed every minit of painting it.

Kinda l8t at the mo but will get the tyre size and make off em in the morning and post in the evening when i get home.
The backs have 2mm spacers on as i had them left over from my mx5 10ae but i think i will be replacing them with about 10mm ones to bring it out a little may even put the 2mm on the fronts ...
Had 25mm on my mx5 and i know 2 much will make the car tram like crazy so im gonna be carfull.
Also puts a little strain on the berings but they are an easy swapout and are inexspensive so i aint gonna wory bout that.

Btw anyone know if there is anyone meeting at the vue this sunday ?
