Hi all,
I recently bought a rx7 from japan, and there are a few questions that i would like to ask.
Firstly i have just fitted the mph converter so that it reads in miles, however it still has 73000km on the clock. Is there any way of getting this corrected to the equivelant miles and is there any way of the clock showing mph on the odometer?
Also how do i find out what exact model it is?
I know its an RX7 and it has efini on the back but is there any way of finding out what exact model it is.
Thanks in advance
Raju
Yes and yes, to answer your two odometer questions, but I don\'t know how it\'s done. My car was done through Newera. Motormall (near Folkestone) did the preparation work, which included changing kms to miles on the odo and changing the display to miles. I\'m sure most of the well known Jap importers could advise you.
Model giveaways - start with the year, then look for things like back seats, standard strut brace, oil coolers, 4 pot front brakes - these indicate a type R usually. But it depends on year - there are various stickies in the forums round here with many details on the models.

Raju where have/are you taking it for servcing etc? The nearest place of a rotary nature that i know of is Hurley engineering in Coventry they maybe able to help with speedo etc as well but i have no idea about that as mine will also be coming via motormall......
Cant hurt to ask their no is 02476 661357
Si (not connection with company other than its down road from me so it\'s who i intend to use)
I was planning on doing all service work myself e.g oil plugs etc.
I have heard of that place in cov though and i was thinking of taking it there to get a checkup done on it.
Is the place near tile hill lane? as i used to go college there, im from birmingham myself.
Thanks
Raj
