Title: Disadvantages of Hoses over hard pipes?

Just saw this setup on Scotts car;

What are the disadvantages of using \'soft\' hoses rather than hard pipes?

swings and roundabouts really. mine are half samco half metal.

rubber doesnt absorb heat metal does  :Thumbsup!

on that short track, there wouldnt a measurable difference.
