Title: norwich union quote
Post by: Ste C on March 22, 2006, 10:17:25 PM
Got a quote from norwich union for 1993 rx7 today, £856.99 fully comp. Im 26, have 4 years no-claims and 2 speeding convictions SP30 and SP60. Not to bad a quote but going to try the numbers you boys have had good quotes from.

Does my 93 rotor motor qualify for classic insurance? Hope so... sounds the way forward.

yes buddy, it has to be 10 years or older so yours does qualify, and usually tho, it has to be a second car, garaged and on a limited mileage either 3k or 5k. Thats the thing with AON and houghton, not sure about any others tho. :)

hi ya mate, just to let ya know i had a quote from these guys and it my FD but they quoted on a 2.3 not the proper 2.6. Might be worth checking out. Try Matt at Aplan he\'s quit good. Tell hime ya saw it on here.

Good luck.

Cheers fellas. Heritage quoted me £775 = £250 excess. That was as a second car. Wish I never had those speeding points though!!

Surely if a claim did go through the insurance company couldn\'t protest on cc, after all they would have the chasis number of the vehicle etc etc?  I know I had to show FULL documentation to my local insurer before the policy was drafted (down as 2.6 BTW).

Just my 2p, dont like to think of these swines getting away with knowcking back claims after taking our hard erned for so long!

I think they would probley protest the payout, you know insurance companies any reason not to pay out and they won\'t. I think he come out on top with Aplan anyway, personaly i wouldn\'t run the risk of with holding information about my car.
