Anyone know if the standard rear spoiler say from a 93 fd is interchangeable (in terms of mounting holes) with a 99 spec one or any other one for that matter?
Thanks
Hi Mate,
Im in the process of changing over to a 99 spec spoiler. Have a look at this link below. The 99 spec spoiler uses 6 of the 8 standard mounting holes, so you have to drill 2 new ones and fill in 2 old.
I had a veilside spoiler on before that used all 8 standard mounting holes.

Thanks for that, a great link. Going for a couple of bungs or filling and painting?
I was going to use a couple of little bungs, but after removing my old veilside spoiler I noticed that one of the holes has been slotted slightly so if I used a bung it will probably leak when it rains.
So that means I will have to fill and paint the holes which should look better anyway. :cool
Got your old Veilside spolier on now mate. Was a bit of a pain as not all the holes lined up, the 2 center holes nearer the glass were way off so have just put grommets on these for the time being, the all the others needed filing out a little.
Looks a lot better than the old standard one thou :)
Sorry for the hijack :)
Adam
Hi Adam,
Maybe that would explain why one of my holes had been slotted slightly - to help it line up. Glad you got it fitted with only minimal tweeking!
Martin.

Yeh i\'m very happy with it, even thou it took 3 hours to do :(
Might need to get the boot lid touched up slightly now thou as you can see where the standard spolier was in parts as the paint has pitted slightly. Another thing to add to the long list ha ha

Always the way, it only took an hour to take off! I noticed the same thing with the paint on my bootlid. I will get mine sorted when I fill and paint my extra holes! I\'m getting there slowly now after spending the whole day rubbing down my new front end!
