Title: Engine wont rev above 3000RPM...help!
Post by: dubber91 on March 12, 2006, 06:38:58 PM
its a 13b...... from a 1988 Rex (NA)

I found a spark plug lead off today, so i reconnected it. I also found that the throttle position sensor wasnt connected properly. Both of these are now sorted, so is there a \'limp home mode\' on the ecu that needs resetting? or is it not that complex?

Also, is idle adjusted using the air bypass screw on the throttle body, or with the screw on the throttle spindle???

Cheers guys

Steve

I don\'t know if this will help, but i had my \'93 FD go into limp home mode after a HT lead problem and i reset it by disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery and then held down the brake peadal for 30sec and then just reconnected. it has worked several times in the past for me, hope this helps.
