Thanks everybody, I\'ve got a 24hr smile plastered on my face!
The car does need some work before it is really ready to run, including a partial re-build (i\'ll give you a ring about it rich) and a bit of TLC in places, but it will give me something to do until the shows kick off, whatever happens my target is to get it sorted for rotorstock, no later.
I got it from a some-time member of the forum who emailed me in response to my wanted ad, the oil seals have gone and it was just filling up space in his garage. The car is black with some sort of pearl/metallic flecks in it, its an audi colour apparently. 93 K plate with private plate, T78 turbo, FMIC, PFC, datalogit, 19 inch wheels, bodykit, etc etc.
There will be a full write up in the members section once it is sorted, and trust me when I say this one will be treated with silk-covered kid gloves!! I refuse to crash another one!

Ah hello mr stormbleeder, welcome to the forum, about time you got involved!
Everyone, even though his usename sounds like a womans problem, stormbleeder (rich) is a good friend of mine who will soon be joining the rx owning ranks.
He looks nothing like captain jack sparrow, and is in fact so short, that I managed to soundly thrash him in an indoor rock-cliimbing competition on sunday, purely by the virtue of my extra inches (ooh err) ;):)
Get your wallet out and join properly rich, it\'ll pay for itself in no time!
Well the plan to leave the car for a couple of weeks is out the window, davehg should be down to help next wekend so I need to get the block out this week before he gets here! better get the space heater out I suppose, brrrr.
