Title: Apexi Induction Help - wont fit :(
Post by: M@r]{ on March 11, 2006, 11:00:12 AM
Guys

Ive just bought a 2nd hand Apexi Induction kit.  But I have a problem.  Where I have the big aftermarket rad and Trust FMIC it wont fit.  The pipes that lead to the cones pushes them to far forward.  The HKS ones fit no problem as the pipes are shorter hence they sit further back in the engine.

Is there anything I can do?  I dont want to start moving engine bits around like the AST.  I\'m thinking more of some shorter piping?

Give me the rad in exchange for my compact standard one, then it\'ll fit! lol!! ;)

Apicture might give us a better idea how much space you dont have.. I had the same problem so i ended up removuing the apexi filters and relacing them with k&n with shorter pipes.

post a pic and we can see if we can see any potential way of sorting it...

Cheers

Grab your self a set of alloy pipes to replace the rubber ones make a template and start cutting, if htye only need to sit further back it should not be a major problem. they sell them on ebay.
