Title: Central locking help
Post by: hillery69 on October 04, 2003, 05:32:17 PM
My central locking is playing up. It was working fine then it stopped, took the door cards off to check cables everything is ok. Then I checked the fuses by the drivers footwell no problems but then the central locking just started working. It lasted about 4 days and then stopped again. The thing is when the central locking works I here a relay click but its is not clicking now. I guessed I had a faulty relay but I can not find it. When it is working it sounds like it comes from the driver footwell but I could not see it. Does anybody know where it is or has any other ideas what the problem may be?

Thanks
Ian
Title: Central Locking

When I bought my Turbo II the central locking didn\'t work. I found my offending relay underneath the carpet in the boot!?
I went to the local Mazda dealer who said it would be six weeks to order one and that it would be £160 + VAT!
I then went to WGT in Northwich, he had one that had been sitting on his workshop floor for years, I plugged it in and hey presto! Not bad for a tenner.

Good Luck!
