Title: Genuine Elford Turbo owners question
Post by: alban1973 on March 07, 2006, 10:14:24 AM
Just trying to buy something!!     Looking at an Elford at the moment, can you tell me what the car is registered as in the V5.     Is it stated as Turbo? Elford? etc,  Should there be a plate on the car from Elford with a serial number or converted car number?  Anything else to look for when making sure it is an original elford fitted kit, rather than being fitted with a turbo and a body kit later in life from another car..  Manythanks

it wont say anything on the on the V5 about being a turbo.   I have an original elford but i have never found a plate wth a serial number but that doesnt mean there isnt one........  Most elfords have other parts fitted like the elford wheels or bits of body kit, and a few had the whole bodykit.  Sorry can t be more help.

Thanks for that, It is enough to be going on with when I check the car out. I have found out it has the original sticker in the rear window,  as long as it is the original window ofcourse..  If they are not numbered, or registered as Elfords then It will not be much of an issue anyway from a genuine car point of view..  I did find out this morning that they would supply the car new with the kit, or you could have your own car converted, with or with out the body kit, wheels etc.
