Title: Wheel clearance template
Post by: pete sparrow on March 05, 2006, 12:40:43 PM
What am i supposed to do with this?
The gents at KAD say this template will help me find out whether wheels will fit over the caliper.
Fine so i print it to size, stick it to some cardboard and cut it out.
Ok now i have the actual size of the caliper which i can fit inside wheels.
I have length but no width or actual placing.
How is this diagram going to help me?? Maybe i\'m being thick!!

Yep, sorry you asked :p if you look at the diagram everything is measured off a centerline so this is the center of the hub. The only thing it doesn\'t easily tell you is how far it sticks out, there isn\'t a clear datum point for it. You have to be careful that it doesn\'t clash with the edge of the rim where the spokes join the hub !!!

Hi Shaun
So the 199.50 figure is the centre of the hub??
They clashed with my old set,now i\'ve got to buy or borrow various wheels and find ones that fit!!
What a pain in the backside!!
Cheers
