Post by: antnicuk on March 03, 2006, 01:06:30 PM
I am having real problems getting my down pipe to seal on the turbo which has a 3" V Band,  i\'m not sure if the crappy clamp may have anything to do with it so i want to try and get a decent one unless anyone has any good ideas for a different method........... like the good old fashioned 4 bolt flange......  cant seem to find them for sale either...... :3Confused

could try a place that does HGV exhausts ?

in my experience V flanges tend to distort when the they are welded onto the pipe if the leg length of the flange is too short and can have problems with distortion when they are running too.

Not taking the mick here but try a farm tractor shop as a lot have garret turbo\'s with the "v" band clamp, or a commercial motor factors.

Commercial vehicle parts supplies can get these no problem. On a three inch system your looking at iveco/ford cargo, man or the smaller leyland dafs that use three inch systems.
