Title: Power FC boost control kit
Post by: chrisJDM on March 02, 2006, 10:20:04 PM
I am about to fit a power fc and commander to my car, near enough standard at mo i have, aftermarket downpipe, silenced cat, koyo rad, GReddy air intake, dump valve, have been looking at the power fc boost control kit you can buy as an extra.  Anyone got one? is it any good? can you increase boost much on a engine with only a few smalls mods lik mine?

Hi Chap, this has been covered quite a bit in previous posts, the general consensus is \'no\', it\'d be a waste of money/time. A Greddy Profec B would be considered better than most, and is reasonably cheap too.

Edit: Sorry, once you fit the Apexi then get it remapped and you should find a reasonable increase in HP. The boost controller isnt a necessity.

The Apexi ECU should control boost just fine, save your money :)

The only bit of the kit worth having is the map sensor that comes in the kit, other than that get yourself a Profec B.

I wasted my money on it, and will be replacing it with a Profec B once up and running again.
