Title: front eccentric shaft bolt mod - oil thermostat
Post by: Bobfish on February 27, 2006, 02:02:08 PM
guys,

on bruce turrentines video he shows a mod to the front eccentric shaft bolt oil thermostat. unfortunately my dvd is too scratched and i cant watch it!

i remember him putting a piece of an m3 bolt inside the bolt - 6mm long, and then putting the thermostat back in. Is this all i need to do? or do i need to stop the thermostat from moving somehow too?

cheers

That is the Crude way of getting rid of the Thermo pellet.

Bruce usaly sends a custom made Thermo pellet you just swap for the Origanal.

I belive all it does is stops the Oil bypass when the Engine is warming up.

I don\'t know if there is any Gain to be had from doing this but i\'m no Engine Builder.
