I had a problem with my clifford which has a back up battery. The battery terminals became dirty, and for some reason the alarm thought it had become disconnected and so started to sound, i had to quickly clean the terminals and re-connected and alarm stopped.

However if you make sure the alram is turned off before you disconnect the battery there shouldn\'t be a problem...

if the alarm is not armed it should not sound ,if you leave it of for too long it will start ticking then sound (about 2-3 weeks)when its internal battery gets low ....great for practical jokes!!!
