My car is mainly used on the road but i also want to do track days and 1/4 mile, and of course drifting......
I have a full set of bridgestone Grid II\'s on the car for road use which are on my 17 X 8, they are crap but good fun :burnout I also have a pair of 17 X 7.5 wheels and a pair of stock FD wheels.
If i put a set DO1j\'s semi slicks on the spare 17\'s for track days, i will completely waste them on the strip and they are not that good for strip although better than a normal road tyre.
Ultimately i suppose a set of drag radials on the 16\'s for the strip and a pair of semi slicks on the 17\'s for track would be best but that is 600 quids worth of tyres just for playing, plus road tyres and that still leaves me nothing for drifting in!
Its no good, i need to win the lottery, anyone got the winning numbers???? i\'ll share it ..... promise!
No easy answer Ant :Hammer dont need anything good for drifting, need something sticky for the track need something sticky and with a bit of give for the strip, what ever you choose will be a compromise, personaly I would look at the track 1st followed by by the strip, inother words I would go for some cut slicks. hth
I sorted a set of Micki T\'s on std rear 16\'s for the strip -- well happy.
how did you manage that you jammy git

I found a set of rears and Ross was good enough to give me the tyre spec size that he runs on his and then I purchased a rear set of MT\'s et street radials, If you want the spec I can post it tonight as at work now.
Keep those tyre specs to yourself please Warthog. Thanks.
No probs mate, message understood. :wave
If you are after a road legal semi slick... cant beat the new Toyo R888...awesome tyre...prices available if so required.

Think Ant was on about the Mikey T Drag radials, must agree though as a compromise cut slicks are the way to go [me. I prefure Yoko\'s :p ] they give you the best of both worlds good grip on the strip and \'round corners, not to bad in the wet as long as you dont push your luck.
