Title: Spark plugs and sound proofing
Post by: G@NDY on February 21, 2006, 08:43:02 PM
Gandy the dunce has some more questions :3Confused I have heat range 9 sparkplugs all round at the minute and wonder wether i will have to replace them with colder (is that right?) plugs when my single goes on. I dont really want to change em yet as they have hardly done 4k miles, but if the car will not run properly then i guess its something else to put on the list :2Confused what would i need 10\'s and 11\'s??????
Also the sound proofing on the underside of my bonnet has been rubbing on one of my filter cages and wonder wether its worth taking it off. What ill effects if any will i have from doing this, and is it something if i try to replace in the future will be about £400 from mazda :bandit is it a case of ripping it off, or is it possible to just unclip and save for a rainy day.

    Cheers, Andy :Thumbsup!

Rip the bonnet liner out and replace your plugs with 10.5s as a happy medium :) 9\'s will definitely not be up to much once it is mapped at higher boosts or if you\'re going to run WI (which I\'m sure you do :Thumbs-up)

Paul

P.S. Throw the 9\'s away or use em as de-flooding plug if that ever should happen ;)
