Title: Adjusting Boost - PFC
Post by: davegttph1 on February 20, 2006, 10:53:16 AM
Hi, when I took the car for its MOT back in early December I turned the boost down from 0.9 to 0.7 and put the rev limiter to 6750rpm just so if they decided to go for a drive they wouldnt hurt the beast.

Anyhow its been of the road for a while and it took me ages to realise why it wasnt reving past 6500 and felt slow. Well realised the other day...lol but I cant remember the settings to get it to boost to 0.9 like it used too. got it set up perfect to run 0.8 now but obviously the cars mapped to handle 0.9 so it\'d be nice to get it perfect again.

Primary 1st setting 0.8
Primary 2nd setting 0.85
Secondary 1st setting 0.8
Secondary 2nd setting 0.85

Boost perfect and feels fine. Now I would have guessed upping each of these figures by 0.05 would basically up the boost pretty much to 0.9 bar but I seem to get fluctuating boost between 0.5bar and 0.7bar. Seems very strange. So left it as it is at 0.8bar.

Anyone know what the settings should be?

Ive not touched the percentage figures btw....

yes you will need to change the % figures which is the duty cycle of the boost solenoid to increase the boost pressure
