Guys,
I cant find a 54mm socket for the flywheel ANYWHERE. Does anyone know where i can get one, or have one i can buy/borrow?
Im in Watford, just outside london - 5 mins from j21 of the M25.
Cheers all
A 56mm diameter socket (as found on a transit van hub nut) will work fine and they should be easier to come by.

I have one you can borrow you would have to pay the post and packaging
Mines Britool, They are not hard to get in 1/2" drive then get a drop down.
There not cheap though, mine was £35 just for the socket.
you could bring the engine to my workshop and I could undo the nut for you.(No charge)
You need a pretty big breaker bar to do it manually, but i have another method.
Regards
Carl
got mine onile from a tool company sorry i cant rember where but i know it cost £27.00 so probably best borrow one
Carl, thanks for the offer, its much appreciated. I\'ve already done the front eccentric shaft bolt though and that ones usually harder isnt it...ive got a home made 6 foot breaker bar so hopefully i should be able to get enough leverage!
I\'ll give the 56mm a go i guess, as 54mm doesnt seem too likely...
ohh the joys of the flywheel nut, I have the 56mm if you want it, I did try with a breaker bar and a scaffolding pole and some burly mates, NO chance!!
Air impact ratchet straight off!!
Hi there, i just bought one for my engine, It was a good quality and was just over £20, . If you want one PM me and I will give you details..
