Title: Rev Counter Jump - FD
Post by: rotis23 on February 19, 2006, 12:25:57 PM
Hi All,

I\'ve been noticing that my sometimes rev counter needle jumps up and down as much as 500 rpm. This is an incorrect reading rather than the actual revs jumping up and down.

So, has anyone else had this problem? I found nothing when doing a search?

Could this be a bad connection somewhere or something worse?

Cheers, Chris

they do that a lot..rather than mess around trying to find a dodgy connection get a working second hand one..mine used to do it all the time sometimes up to 1000rpm jump..re-worx supplied me a better one and its fine now

They do go knackered after a while. Whatever you do don\'t buy a new one from mazda, they are over 500 quid new :eek
