So Jase is your car blowing a bit of smoke there? ;)
top day ... as usual I have about 10 piccies of one engine bay with details of bits I want to use on my car and naf all else as I have the attention span of a gnat when it comes to taking photos !
These are a couple that sums the day up ... 1st great cars and 2nd great people with a sense of humour :D
So where are the other 8 photos? !! :)
OK .. here are some more. Like I said they are pretty focused on borrowing idea\'s and reference for the 323. + a nice shot of Carls new "home"
So which ideas in-particular where you thinking of borrowing? :)
The day looks like it was a good laugh.
thanks for the photos mike.

May your business be a success Carl,we all wish this upon you. ;)
Great pics all. Thanks for sharing :)
The people who came really made the event,it is people in this club with all of their diverse interests in the rotary that really made it such a great day for me!
I am really impressed with not just the enthsiasm for the rotary in the old skool cars but also the passion for these cars. The turnout was very good, thanks to everyone who came and really made it such an enjoyable day inspite of the cold and fog.

Carl
Thanks for a great day Carl, good to see so many old skools in the flesh (so to speak) not just pics of what was. Great workshop, very best of luck with it.

I think we should (as intended last year) have a few more oldschool meetings. A suggestion last year was to meet up at rounds of the post historic touring cars so we can cheer on the rotors ??
When\'s your shops grand opening then Era ... are we having an opening party :Party
Just a quick thank you to Carl for arranging a great weekend good luck with the new premises (see you in a couple of weeks) ,Era and the Wife for putting up with a extra extra rota nut, Mike for fetching the db meter (now i know its loud) and every one else who turned up (too many to name sorry) for making a great weekend.
As Clive said this is what the clubs about long may it continue
Finally a big thankyou should also go the the reporter from retrocars as not many would of been willing to stay so long on a damp cold day. I for one will be emailing my thanks to the editor.

Hi Kev,
not sure about the next mini meet! You guys will have to make some suggestions.
I am going to phone Retrocar tomorrow and tell them that the reporter Marc Stretton was indeed very much appreciated at the meet,he seemed to be really enthusiastic about the cars and people.

Awesome pics bud! appreciate you posting that link as I couldnt make it down on the day and was gutted. Nice fro Carl. he, he, he.
cheers, michael.
Righto had some time to check up and read the funnies here :) Pleased to see the humour is ripe! I have thanked a few people privately but a public thank you to Carl for hosting the event and tollerating me turning up in a new skool without any grief - you know the truth :) And to Era for erm erm erm hmmm ponder ponder bugger no I cant think of anything apart from "Where, BBQ, the, was" - just because and you know why :)
Great for me to catch up with those I know and see those I dont and get out of work and actually see some cars and real people! Made my jet-lagged weekend and allowed me to work on the 2 on Sunday :-D With some luck and spare evenings I seriously hope, and would very much enjoy, bringing the 2 to Brooklands, or at least RS. Hell, I stripped another 10a down on Sunday and sat it in the cleaning tank for one of the 3\'s new engines :-)
I need more old skool events and 3-rotors to re-ignite the plans and dust off some parts and move another old skools back into my garage :)
Excellent first old skool event - I *loved* the DN racing video and chatting to the man again. Ive come to the conclusion he has more jam in him than both a fat jammy dodger and I do for finding old skool stock :)
To conclude, excellent and inspiring, at least for me. Until next time.....
Best Wishes
Ant
A fantastic day out, I hope this becomes an annual event, if not more often !
Ant, you\'re right about the motivation, I too, am working on my 2, and loads of bits have come off the engine for removal.
When does everyone want the next one then? Perhaps we could have a cruise too, that way it might encourage everyone (Including me ) to get their old skool running!
What do you think?
Regards
Carl

Hi Ant,
I had no idea it was you (gutted) someone didnt introduce me !!!!!, now I know for next time. Should see you at Brooklands then.
Jase
It was me yes - tired but physically there! Not sure you should be gutted though ! With some luck Ill do my best to attend Brooklands.
Rgds
Ant
Perhaps we can at least have a convoy to brooklands. I live right next door, but I could drive out a little ways to meet up.
Mind you, will my car be going again by then?
I can only reiterate what everybody else has said, a great day and many thanks to Carl. I really look forward to the next time we can get together, and also hopefully with some of the other guys who had to miss last weekend.
Maybe next time we could have some sort of track meet so that we can have some rides in each others cars? Unfortunately, Brands Hatch is a bit too far for me for a mid week evening session, I guess we need somewhere half way between Mull and Portsmouth ;)
Ray
Sounds like a great idea to me Ray.
