sounds to me like you have a short somewhere that is draining your battery.
I\'d get someone who is handy with a multimeter to have a poke around the electrics, you\'ll probably find a bare wire touching the bodywork or something. problem is it could be anywhere on the car!
Yes,it sounds like you\'ve got a power drain somewhere.
Any auto electrician could source the problem.
Or if your a member of the AA,RAC,etc, etc and have a home start service, they might be able to help.
Cheers
Pete
the only thing that is runnin is the clifford alarm nt sure how much batt it is usin!
i had fittd my system 2amps, 12"sub, 6*9s, door speakers n tweeters but since am nt usin the car i disconectd the power cable from the batt, would the earth cables do anyting ? sorri if silly Q :2Rolleyes
i have quite afew elec problems at the moment as it is e.g mils have fad\'d on the dash cant c wot the mileg is, handbreak light dnt come on \'checkd switch\' + sum reason my turbo timer dnt work ether.
Honestly mate, best get your beast to a Auto electrician. The problem sounds like its in the internal looms of the car,not your hifi or alarm. Could just be a bad earth.Check engine earth plus the battery cables.Check all leads to and from alternater. All i can suggest.
just waitin on funds to come through tinkin off gettin it towd dwn to wgt or re;work get the clutch, power fc mappd up n get it look over needs a m.o.t aswell rather than take it hear n there

Just to let you know... the battery charges when the car is running or you are driving it. Just starting the car every few days and shutting it off will do more damage than good if the car isn\'t taken for a drive. Everytime the car is started a little more is taken out of the battery.
I would suggest taking the car out for a good drive once a week, at least 20 to 30 miles, and this will help keep things at bay for a while, provided the alternator is working ok and the battery is charging (put a multimeter across the battery terminals when the car is on and you should be getting just over 14 volts).
But as the others have suggested, best thing to do is take it to an autoelectrician. As the car should be able to sit for a week or two without having to jump start it or the battery going flat.
You could buy yourself a trickle (sp) charger. Just leave it on charge like you would normally do and the charger will constantly manage how much charging the battery needs (this of course wont help you if you are loosing the charge to earth though)
I use one on my kit car all over winter. If a battery does not keep getting charged then it will eventually die and will never hold charge if left for too long (as I found out when I was building the kit!)
If you think the amount of juice it would take to start then you have to leave it running (or drive it) for about 10 mins just to replace what you have used just to start it.

Zab if you want to check for how much power drain there is beg or borrow a multi meter put it into amps mode with the leads plugged in the amps socket. Remove the negative terminal first from the battery then the positive put the neg back on no need to tighten leaving the positive open circuit. With your multimeter you want to put the black common wire to the pos lead and the red pos wire to the battery terminal and see what it reads. Don\'t expect a reading of zero anything under about .2 of an amp is normal. Remove the neg lead again before replacing and tightening the pos lead then replace and tighten the neg lead. Its a saftey precaution having the neg lead removed before putting the spanner to the pos terminal so theres no way it can short out and burn you or fry any electrics. You say the battery is fairly new but even a new battery is soon killed if you\'ve let it fully discharge at any point once its filled with acid so don\'t discount the fact the battery could be dead already.
