Title: Failed MOT
Post by: dturpin on February 18, 2006, 10:47:27 AM
Hello everyone wonder if anyone can help, just had my 92 FD MOT\'d and it has failed on high carbon monoxoide emissions.  does anyone know of a way to get them down just for the MOT.  My air pump is disconnected as it doesnt seem to be working correctly, it doesnt come on when the car is at idle.  Have got a power FC fitted if there is anything I can do on that, any help would be appreciated as have got re-test later today.

Nice one mate will be trying that, do you know if you adjust the setting with the car running or not?

Turpin, get yourself 15 minutes up the A1 and then take a right turning (the first one) after the Colsterworth round about and follow that road for 15 minutes (good driving road too) and head to Helpringham on the A52, its not many miles for you. Passed both mine and Gandys motor without even giving it an emmisions test. really good, they understand the cars, he\'d just turn round and say you can adjust it all you like and we know you\'ll adjust it back afterwards so they use common sense rather than strict guidlines :)

Thier number is 01529421615

Think theyre called D&D Motors, guarentee if your lights and brakes work and your car isnt rusted underneath it\'ll pass :)

Good luck

Looks like it has to be done whilst it is running because it gets reset when the ignition is turned off.
